The only functional-foods-focused event in the region, Vitafoods Asia is a hub for suppliers and manufacturers across the AsiaPacific region. Billing itself as a ‘providing nutraceutical ingredients for a healthier business’, the event incorporates a large international expo with more than 200 exhibitors; a myriad new-product showcases; a two-day conference and more. 

Now its seventh year, Vitafoods Asia is the only dedicated event in AsiaPacific region that connects the entire nutraceutical supply chain across four key industry areas: Ingredients & Raw Materials; Contract Manufacturing & Private Label; Services & Equipment; and Finished Products.

Profit-generating opportunities abound: visitors will have direct access to a large network of industry players including directors and managers of nutraceuticals companies, distributors, retailers and research scientists, all in one venue – which means terrific business opportunities for anyone with raw materials and ingredients to sell.

Conference highlights

At this year's Vitafoods Asia Conference, global industry leaders will share their views on new research findings and applications, market trends and regulatory updates; and talks and seminars will give delegates ample opportunity to learn about and discuss hot topics - such as the gut microbiome - with international experts.

The 2017 conference program has been tailored to meet the specific needs of the of the functional nutrition, nutraceutical and health supplement industry, aiming to provide delegates with practical insights into best business practice and R&D developments across the industry and the full production cycle.

This year's Vitafoods Asia Conference has been developed to allow for focused education, more effective networking and greater flexibility.  The conference will incorporate four masterclasses and a special summit, at which 20-plus industry experts from across the world will address delegates, then lead discussion on topical industry issues. A masterclass that aims to uncover the vast array of possibilities for nutriceuticals in China and how to achieve further business growth in the PRC. 

Digestive health and microbiome Summit  

As well as masterclasses focused on major issues for the industry in the AsiaPacific region; this year's conferee will include a summit on what is arguably the hottest industry topic right now: the role of the gut microbiome in good health, and the role nutriceuticals can play in improving gut health. New products and market insights

Several pavilions will showcase new and game-changing products and give you the chance to discuss them with manufacturers and distributors. They include:

  • the Inspiration Showcase, where you’ll be able to find out about the latest nutraceutical ingredients and finished products on the market and identify exhibitors who’ve launched products recently; the Showcase, say organisers, is “a one-stop sourcing area [highlighting] product launches and best-performing star products”. 
  • the Innovation Theatre, new this year, will offer a two-day program dedicated to “looking ahead” at Asia’s nutraceutical and functional nutrition industry - looking at how it might develop in coming years; identifying core areas of growth; and designating probable pathways to success. 

  • the Vitafoods Life Stages Theatre, also new in 2017, will focus on specific nutritional requirements at various stages of life, with sessions examining issues including regulatory guidance and marketing strategies relevant to each of these life stages.

  • the Industry Experts Advice Centre, manned by regional and pan-Asian market and regulatory experts, will offer attendees free one-on-one consultations to throughout the event. 

  • a market and trend overview in which Innova Market Insights will pinpoint key innovations and developments likely to impact industry and product development in coming months within carefully selected health categories;

Exhibiting at VitaFoods Asia

Exhibitors at Vitafoods Asia stand to benefit from Asia's burgeoning nutraceutical market, projected to rise to a value of US$204.8 billion by 2020. It's a great place to connect with senior decision-makers and secure new buyers and distributors from across the AsiaPacific region: visitor surveys conducted in 2016 show that around 90% of event attendees say they have "decision-making power", while 54% are "actively seeking new distribution opportunities". View the 2016 visitor profile.

Typically, Vitafoods Asia exhibitors will get a consequent bump in profits: indeed, the average expected revenue as a result of exhibiting is US$479,573. It's a great place to generate new business leads - on average, event exhibitors meet 94 new contacts at the Vitafoods expo - with visitors reporting an average annual nutraceuticals spend of US$752,860
